*CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR JHS SCIENCE OLYMPIAD TEAM  They just crushed it at the MN State Tournament! Our team walked away with four impressive top-ten finishes against the best in the state.

Askshay George, Sophie Ouellet, and Rosa Herrera dominated in Codebusters.

Lauren Tan and Sophie Ouellet successfully took on Dynamic Planet.

Askshay George and Rosa Herrera placed in Forensics.

Kate Anderson and Ruby Steege rounded out the wins in Rocks and Minerals.

Great work representing JHS on the state stage!

 * WEEKEND HIGHLIGHTS & HIGH FIVES!

• JETS HOCKEY:  A huge congratulations goes out to our STATE CHAMPION JETS HOCKEY TEAM for their dominant 11-2 victory over Mankato this past Saturday. We also want to give a special shout-out to Easton Anderson, Prince Yeakehson, and Josh Ruz for the incredible honor of being named to the All-Tournament team. Your hard work and skill have made us all so proud. Way to go, Jets!

• SHOW CHOIRS: What a spectacular finish to an incredible season for our Show Choirs! Huge congratulations to CONNECTION for being named Overall GRAND CHAMPION and winning Best Choreography. The spotlight also shined on Jonas Dammen, who earned the Outstanding Soloist award, while JIVE dominated the Treble Division with a First Place finish and secured the title of Overall 4th Runner-Up. To top off this sweep of talent, our amazing Show Band brought home the trophy for BEST BAND! Congratulations on an outstanding performance by all!

• SPEECH TEAM: A big congratulations to our Eastview Tournament finalists! Top honors go to Serrah Ssemukutu (2nd, Championship Oratory), Sunny Baldwin (2nd, Extemp. Speaking and Open Drama), Molly Cosgrove (2nd, Open Extemp. Reading), Abi Sinner (3rd, Open Informative), and Freya Nafziger (3rd, Championship Informative). Special congratulations go to Freya for earning her second bid and qualifying for the NIETOC at Shakopee High School this May!
