ATHLETICS/ACTIVITIES:
*GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: There will be a Girls Volleyball Player Meeting for all players entering grades 7-12 in fall ‘23. The meeting is this Wednesday, March 1 at 2:45pm in the Jefferson Media Center.

*EQUIPMENT RETURN: Attention Boys JV and Varsity Hockey players! Your equipment needs to be turned in tomorrow (Wednesday, March 1st) after school at 2:45 PM on the athletic side of the boys locker room.  


MISC:

*PGP ACTIVITIES: Students, please complete your required trimester 2 career and college readiness activities. Remember, all activities must be completed in order to graduate. Just find PGP Course 9, 10, 11, or 12. Click on Modules and make sure you have completed everything. Make an appointment with Ms. Wallerick if you have any questions.


*MOVIE AND POPCORN: There are two after-school movie and popcorn opportunities available for this week. The MBSU will be showing Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in the media center today, Tuesday 2/28  beginning at 2:40 PM. Also, if you’re interested in joining the MBSU, see Ms. Johnson in C27 or at the movie. On Wednesday afternoon, the LHSU will be showing Spiderman: Into the Spider-verse in order to celebrate afro-latino representation. Join them on Wednesday in room C14 beginning at 3PM for the movie, popcorn, and Mexican candies. If you choose to attend either movie event, you will need to provide your own transportation home.

*SPEECH TEAM: Congratulations to the speech team finalists from the Prior Lake Tournament last Saturday. In the honor final, Evelyn Smith placed 4th in drama and Kailey Tan placed 1st in creative. In the novice final, Elizabeth Swanson placed 6th in drama.  In the varsity final, Kailey Tan and Kehan Chen placed 7th in duo, Gianna Givot placed 6th in POI, Will Moen placed 2nd in humor, Morgan Haffenden placed 2nd in prose, and Amelia Busse placed 1st in poetry. *SCIENCE OLYMPIAD: Congratulations to the Science Olympiad squad who is headed to State! They took home medals in seven different events. Medal winners were Aiden Lindgren, Carmen Brewers, Gabby Angeles,  Irene Zheng, Jessie Pham, Julia Wenzel, Namgyal Kunsang, Nicole Guan, Nur Arslan, and Toby Parcon. Best of luck to Science Olympiad at State!

*SHOW CHOIRS: Our show choirs and show band continued their streak of excellence this weekend at Eau Claire's WINTERFEST competition. JIVE was among the top, earning 2nd runner up in division A. Connection made it to finals again this weekend, among many powerhouse programs, and took home the 2nd runner up trophy in Varsity 2A. Senior Elias Caspari was recognized with the Showstopper Award for his dedicated performance. Congratulations!

After completing each activity, turn it into the checkout counter for a treat. If you complete 5 activities, you will be entered into a drawing at the end of the month for gift certificates.
