MCA TESTING SCHEDULE:
*All 10th and 11th grade student will be taking the MCA exam today. Students should report to their assigned testing area by 7:50 AM. An optional lunch will be served following the exam and buses will depart JHS to take students home at 10:30 AM.

*Today, all 9th and 12th grade students have an e-learning day. Students are expected to log onto Campus to complete their assigned activities for today.

*If you are interested in careers in Transportation, consider going on a field trip to Hennepin Tech on Tuesday, April 11. Register by filling out the Google Form at the posted QR code.

*PATHFINDERS: Attention sophomores and juniors! Become a Pathfinder for the ‘23-’24 school year! Come to the information session today after school at 2:45 in C113, or see the QR code on the TVs to take you to the Pathfinder Canvas page. See Ms. Lauer in C112 or Mr. Meyering in C113 if you have any questions. 


*MCA TESTING: 10th and 11th grade students need to be in their testing classroom by 7:50 tomorrow morning. You can find your testing location in Flag Hall or outside the Main Office. Lunch will be available after the test. Buses will be leaving Jefferson at 10:30. Please check your email for extra information. 9th and 12th grade students - you will have an asynchronous learning day tomorrow; it is not a day off! Please use Canvas to check for your assignments.

*SPRING DANCE: The Spring Disco Dance tonight starts at 8PM and is open to all Jefferson students. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased during lunch today or at the door tonight. You will need a student ID in order to enter the dance.

*MOVIE DAY! In honor of National Women’s Month and Disability Awareness Month, the MBSU will be showing The Secret Life of Bees for their after-school monthly movie. The showing is this Thursday, March 23rd in the Red Flex classroom. Show time is 2:20 pm and free popcorn will be available! You will need to have your own transportation home.

*BOYS VOLLEYBALL: Any boys interested in playing volleyball this spring should come to the first volleyball open-gym night tonight at 6:00 PM in the Jefferson main gym. Contact Mr. Sieling in B104 for more information.

*Congratulations to Team BJORG for competing at the Great Northern Regional Robotics competition last weekend. The team took 15th place out of 53 teams, and made it to the playoffs, where their alliance took 5th place. The team also won the Imagery Award at the competition, celebrating the eye-catching colors and graphic designs used on the robot, t-shirts, and pit area. Great job Team Bjorg!

*DECA: Congratulations to Jaguar DECA for a great state conference. They had 6 state finalists highlighted by Caroline Harding finishing 4th in Hospitality Professional Selling Event, qualifying her for national competition and Katie Christensen finishing 7th in Business Service Event.

*CHESS CLUB: This last weekend, the Jefferson Chess Team had an incredible performance, placing 3rd in state. Their top 4 scorers were National Master Troy Cavanah, Team Captain Jack Bellinger, Joseph Gaul, and Andrew Davies. A special congratulations to Troy Cavanah who qualified for the State Scholastic Playoffs against the other top 5 individual finishers at state.


ATHLETICS/ACTIVITIES:

Any student who is waiting for a ride will need to wait inside Door #1 or in Flag Hall.

**REMINDER! Thursday and Friday, March 2-3, are final exam days for Trimester 2. Students will be released from school at 12:15 with an option of staying for lunch from 12:15-12:45. If student have their own transportation, they will be free to leave the building at 12:15. Buses will leave Jefferson at approximately 12:50.

*Important reminder about PGP’s! Students, please complete your required trimester 2 career and college readiness activities. Remember, all activities must be completed in order to graduate. Just find PGP Course 9, 10, 11, or 12. Click on Modules and make sure you have completed everything. Make an appointment with Ms. Wallerick if you have any questions.


The LHSU will be showing Spiderman: Into the Spider-verse in order to celebrate afro-latino representation. Join them today after school in room C14 beginning at 3PM for the movie, popcorn, and Mexican candies. If you choose to attend you will need to provide your own transportation home.
