*REMINDER: Students, this is a reminder that there is no school tomorrow. Since today is the last school day this week, the building will be closing at 2:50. Enjoy your long weekend, and we look forward to seeing you on Monday.

TEAMS/CLUBS
*TRACK AND FIELD: Boys interested in Track and Field  this spring! There will be an informational meeting Wednesday, February 8th at 7:00 PM in the Media Center. Spirit wear orders, schedule, and booster information will be handed out at the meeting. Returning and new athletes and their parents should attend.

COLLEGE/CAREER:
*CAREER MEETING: If you’re interested in a career in agriculture, food, and natural resources, you can learn more about opportunities in these fields at a Career Information Meeting on Thursday, February 9th during ASEM. Register on Naviance if you’d like to attend.

MISC:

*ACCESS TESTING: Next week will be ACCESS Testing. If you are taking this test, please check your email for information from Ms. Stack about where to go and ways to prepare. Please bring a charged chromebook and headphones with a cord on Monday. 


*CELEBRATIONS IN THE MC: During February, they are celebrating Black History and I Love to Read month in the media center. They have a variety of fun activities for students including limericks, coloring Freedom Quilt squares, Valentines, new book displays, a Maya Angelou rainbow craft and new coloring sheets. After completing each activity, turn it into the checkout counter for a treat. If you complete 5 activities, you will be entered into a drawing at the end of the month for gift certificates. A checklist of activities can be found by the checkout counter.


*CROOKED QUILL: If you are a writer, artist, or photographer you should consider submitting your work to The Crooked Quill, Jefferson's literary arts magazine. They will accept poetry, short stories, memoirs, plays, visual art, photography and more. Send your submissions to jeffersonlitmagazine@gmail.com. The deadline for submission is tomorrow, February 3rd! If you have any questions, contact Mr. Hupton.


*LOST AND FOUND: Today is your last chance to check out the Lost and Found tables in Flag Hall. Any items not claimed by the end of the school day tomorrow will be donated or repurposed.


*PARKING PERMITS: Registration for trimester 3 parking is now open! Register for your permit as soon as possible before they are sold out. Your new permit can be picked up in the main office beginning on Tuesday, February 21st.
